Fairmont Pacific Rim is the premier five star condo hotel occupying an enviable location in Coal Harbour, adjacent to the Vancouver Conference Centre expansion.
The 47 storey reinforced concrete and post tension slab tower house 415 guestrooms houses on the bottom 22 floors with 175 residential units above.
The $350 million project is being jointly developed by Westbank Project Corp. and the peterson Investment Group.The hotel will be managed by Fairmont Hotels & resorts, the luxury hotel chain which operates more than 50 distinctive hotels around the world. This is the company's third hotel in downtown Vancouver.
Designed by renowed architect James Cheng, the triangular glass tower rises 457 feet at the north foot of Burrard Street.
"We created a theme that relate to the Pacific Northwest", says James Cheng, who also designed the residential units. "We used a lot of natural wood, natural stones and rich material and rich colours."
"We learned what people want from customized homes and packaged it into the condominium. It's all in the details that create luxury" comments James Cheng.
